LESLIE CASTELLANO - EUREKA CITY COUNCIL-WOMAN WARD 1

Eureka  City Council-member Leslie Castellano of Ward 1 is the Executive Director of the Ink People Center for the Arts and operator of Synapsis. She has been a member/employee of the Ink People for over 15 years. During her tenure with the Ink People, she has advocated for and promoted anarcho-communist principles in hopes of helping her friend and fellow  anarchist, David Cobb, usher in his experiment on our community with the 'Solidarity Economy' agenda (see glossary for definition) . Cobb, Castellano, the Ink People and Cooperation Humboldt are partners, funders, participants, and organizers of the symposium called 'Artist Dismantling Capitalism.'  This symposium has been held annually in Eureka for the past four years and focuses on several topics with multiple speakers over several days. Council-member Castellano has been quoted saying that her 'inspiration for running for City Council came out of Artist Dismantling  Capitalism'.  In addition to this undemocratic behavior, the Ink People and Synapsis have housed, funded and supported Humboldt Grassroots, an anarchist group that advocates for violent rioting and blowing up police stations to achieve their political philosophy. Leslie also hosts 'Anarcho' anarchist events at her venue Synapsis under 

the guise of a zumba class.
