G.MARIO FERNANDEZ - EUREKA CITY COUNCILMAN WARD 3

Eureka City Council-member G. Mario Fernandez failed to disclose to his Ward 3 constituents the fact that he is an author and organizer for Humboldt Grassroots, an anarchist group that promotes violence, rioting and blowing up police departments as a solution to achieve their ideological goals. When Council-member Fernandez was asked why he did not disclose this information as a candidate, he responded with 'Nobody asked.' This is a blatant violation of THE PEOPLE's expectations for transparency. Unfortunately, other members of the City Council and local government officials continue to support and endorse Council-member Fernandez and his affiliation with this local violent anarchist group. 

The Humboldt County Democrats have elected Council-member Fernandez as their Chair of  the party.  This continued support is a blatant violation of THE PEOPLE's expectations for accountability. CRDV will continue to expose  these violations and begin the initial process to recall Council-member

During a Political Engagement event held at Cal Poly Humboldt, Eureka City Council-Member of Ward 3 states that he is a "Social Libertarian which is a branch of anarchism" as he represents the Humboldt County Democrats as their chair.
